• Household information such as whether you rent or own, other pets in the home, and yard details (adoption and foster applications)
• Veterinarian contact information (adoption applications)

• Payment information when you donate — this is processed entirely by our payment partners (Zeffy, PayPal, or Venmo) and is never stored on our servers

Information collected automatically

• Basic analytics data such as pages visited and general geographic region, collected through WordPress and standard server logs
• IP address and browser type for security and performance purposes

2. How we use your information

We use the information you provide solely to operate Buddy Love Dog Rescue and care for the animals in our program. Specifically, we use your information to:

• Review and process adoption, foster, and volunteer applications
• Contact you about your application or inquiry
• Coordinate dog transport, placement, and follow-up care
• Send updates about dogs, events, or rescue operations if you have opted in
• Acknowledge and process donations

Google Fonts, loaded from Google’s servers, may set or read cookies in accordance with Google’s own policies. If you prefer not to load Google Fonts remotely, most browsers can be configured to block third-party requests.

We do not use Google Analytics or any similar analytics platform that tracks individual visitors across sessions.

We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us. Our website is hosted on a managed WordPress hosting platform with SSL encryption, and access to application data in PawPlacer is restricted to authorized Buddy Love volunteers and staff.

No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we do our best to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you have concerns about a specific piece of information, please contact us and we will address it directly.

6. Your rights

You have the right to ask us what personal information we hold about you, request a correction if something is inaccurate, or ask us to delete your information if you no longer wish us to hold it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the information at the bottom of this page.

If you submitted an adoption or foster application and would like your information removed from PawPlacer, please let us know and we will work with you to fulfill that request.

If you have opted in to email updates from us and would like to unsubscribe, every email we send includes an unsubscribe link. You can also contact us directly to be removed.

7. Children’s privacy

Our website is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
