How do I adopt a dog?

Browse our available dogs and submit an adoption application through their profile. Once we receive it, a team member will reach out to discuss next steps and schedule a meet-and-greet.

How do I become a foster?

We are always looking for foster families in the Rochester area. Fill out this form and select “Fostering” as your topic, or visit our foster page to learn more about what’s involved.

Do you have a physical location?

Buddy Love is a foster-based rescue. Our dogs live in volunteer homes throughout Rochester, not in a shelter or kennel. All meet-and-greets are arranged individually with our team.

How long does adoption take?

After submitting an application, we typically follow up within a few days. If it is a good match, the process can move quickly, sometimes within a week. We take care to make sure every placement is the right one.

Can I surrender my dog to Buddy Love?

We accept surrenders based on available space. Please contact us directly so we can discuss the situation. We will do our best to help or connect you with the right resource.

How can I donate or support the rescue?

Every dollar goes directly to the dogs. You can make a one-time or monthly donation on our donate page. We also accept supply donations, event sponsorships, and volunteers.
